It was a sunny morning, and I was ready to hit the road again. Another interview, another meeting, another busy day. This time, such and honour for me to meeet Wimar Witoelar, 10 am, as reminded by my manager.
He invited me to come as a guest to his radio talk show "Perspektif Baru" which will be on air on almost 80 radio stations and covered by 6 media.
Besides the promotional benefits for me being on his show ( I am not being naive..he..he...), I enjoy to meet the person himself. Wimar Witoelar. Such a big name, big figure.. such a big guy. Ha.ha.
He is funny, charming, loving and I find him adorable. A great man like him actually has a lot of passion in almost about everything in life. His achievement is unquestionable, but I am more interested in his personality. I enjoy being around him, and it kinda inspired me, about how he takes things, how he manage things in his office, how he communicate with his staff, how he knows things are sometimes not working out right and how he handles it with his own authenticity.
I like him. He is so authentic.
Thank you Bung Wimar for having me in your talkshow...for me, it is more like a great way to start the day.
Bung Wimar came to his office singing loudly...and all the staff said to me that "it must be him.kalau dateng rame".That's how the staff describe his 'grandeur' arrival. I could tell how the staff love him. I like his blue bright shirt that he wore, it fully represented how cheerful he was.
The talkshow was recorded in 30 minutes durations...and such a very short time to know this guy in person. Why I refer him as 'a guy'..is because he's no average bapak-bapak. I am sure he also would really like the fact that I refer him 'a guy'...not bapak-bapak, or mas-mas.Left alone 'oom-oom'.Ha.ha. I pay respect to him, and I love him in person.
He gave me his 2 books, which I was really happy to receive it, itv was "No Regrets" which is explained and written as The Reflections of a Presidential Spokesman..and another one is " Hell Yeah! " written by Fira Basuki. So this morning was a very unique morning for my team, we spent around one hour at his office, and we already have so many exciting things to share and to do with his projects and mine. Above all, me and my team left with joy and spirit to face another busy day.

So I prefer to called him "Oom" ...selain untuk berakrab-akrab, his figure seems so humble and loveable, meskipun belum pernah ketemu...eh, ternyata pak Wimar malah ngga mau....dia bilang; "Jangan panggil saya Oom lah...Opa aja!" nah lo! hahaaha.... |

Even my nieces and nephews don't call me that. but actually you can call me anything, even 'the Beast' since I am certainly not a 'Beauty'. The experience of being described as 01 or 10 is nothing new.
