These are the pictures I took when I was doing general rehearsal for the 79th of Sumpah Pemuda. From this, I learned that there were so many things we have forgotten about the history of our country. On the other hand, we were lost, because the history has been misguided to the public, for a certain political purpose. I remember memorizing history for my exam when I was at elementary school, I tried so hard to stay awake at midnight.But now, to look at the historical museum, I have just realize, those memorizing task we had to do when we were a kid and at school, did not mean a thing since we were never been taught the value and the philosophy of our forefathers, and all the reason why they fought for this nation. I think, history is not only to be memorized, it has to be understood. Educational program must not be based on physical activity only, such as memorizing, but the important thing is to understand a deeper layer of the history, which is the value of this country.The value which our forefathers have stands for, the value which our forefathers had fought for. This value defines a country. This value defines our culture in this global world, this value differentiate one country to another. This value defines our position in this world.

Biolanya W.R Supratman, our forefather who created Indonesia Raya as our national anthem:) It is a violinist who created our national anthem, a violin marks the independence in our country. All violinist should be proud of that.)

ooo Fayza this one's sooooooooo cool! Antik banget., boleh aku save ya foto yang ini, asli keren. hehehehe.. I wonder kenapa waktu SD-SMP-SMA guru2 engga pernah adain study tour ke museum ini instead of kesitu2 lagi (lobang buaya-Istana Bogor-Museum Gajah), gak kreatif deh tuh guru2.. Mudah2an makin ke sini guru2 udah lebih kreatif ya, supaya generasi yg skrg dan yg akan datang lebih menghargai sejarah.

It marks our independence! kerennn..Woohoo I'm very proud of being a violinist (and a pianist :P). Now there's another reason why I study the violin :)

Iya.. somehow baca lirik ini dengan ejaan seperti ini, make me realize Indonesia Raya in a deeper way. Kalimatnya bagus banget ya.. I love all lagu2 perjuangan Indonesia, I think all the songs made from the heart (well no songs made without heart anyways, but you know what I mean right? hehe :P) and it really tells about how beauty our country is, how nice the people are. Makanya yang selalu aku harapkan, mudah2an Indonesia selalu seindah yang diceritakan di lagu2 perjuangan. Is that too much to ask? :)

bener2 gives me chill ngeliat original lyric ini. So powerful, and it has a special depth. Bener deh kalo it's one of the most beautiful National Anthem. Although skrg aku di choir sini nyanyinya Star Spangled Banner sama God Bless America, tapi teteuup kalo si bule2 request, nyanyiin donggg national anthemnya Indonesia, can't help my tears :P *terlalu sensitip hehehehe*

sebetulnya museumnya sangat menyedihkan dan jujur aja museumnya gak kerawat..itu yang menyeramkan. Dalam arti, bisa2 sejarah kita punah jika meseum gak kerawat...

benda2 di museum ini memangnya boleh difoto ya Fay? pengalaman di museum gajah tuh ga boleh sama sekali ngambil foto. gue sering lewat museum sumpah pemuda tapi tutup melulu, sampai nggak tau itu museum bisa dikunjungi apa enggak.

boleh tuh..aku kan bolak balik kesana karena persiapan Sumpah Pemuda..jadi berkali-kali juga fotonya..orang-orang juga pada foto kok disana. Memang museumnya menyedihkan sih...kesian......sedih deh...Bisa kok dikunjungi..mungkin cek aja dulu ke telp yang aku cantumin di atas..biar yakin

you know, my favourite song will be always Indonesia Raya, despite it's the national anthem or not, you know why? coz the original version was in jazz mood... WR Supratman was a jazz violinist when he composed and played the song for the 1st time at the Youth Congress... what a man...

well my dear, I am glad that the national anthem was created by a violinist, not a timpani player...ha...ha...haaaa(kidding my dear). Violinist rocks! I would love to hear the jazzy version of it.

Hahahah kamuu jadi inget jaman2 jebot ituhhh, HUT dikurung GR di Puri Agung Sahid..., well kapan2 kita bikin resital timpani dan violin yuukkkk.. asik tuh kayaknya hehehehhe... should be fun =), been seen lots of footage of modern contemporary compositions for timpani on YouTUBE..., maybe you should put some of your performance video there as well dear....
kapan ngopi2 nih hehehehe.... Well regarding the jazz version, I only can imagine of how was the sound it would be, just think of the old new orleans kind of jazz, a bit blues.. hey, you've got the old photos of the band of that era...., yeah just about that actually :)

iya..kenapa ya inget dulu lucu:) Good 'ol days,) Oh, btw, laguku memang ada timpaninya:) I am sure sekarang udah sangat maju untuk timpani, sama seperti biola, banyak eksplorasinya. Kita pada dasarnya sama, mau maju, mau break out dari yang standarnya. I would love to put it on YOUTUBE, tapi somehow aku lagi konsen dgn blog2 nya aku, krn aku generate banyak blog, and I do it by my self, supaya aku dan temen2 merasa dekat semua:)
I like old pictures, and somehow gayanya sangat behave. jaman dulu sikap lebih teratur, lebih terjaga:) I like that somehow, I like that value. Iya nih, I haven't got the time to do ngopi Wie, but I would love too:)

ada Fay, walau aku baru liat di foto... di friendsterku ada kelompok ITB Student Orchestra, and one in their photos, there's one violin player who play it left handed.., itu gak kesikut2 sama sebelahnya atau gimana ya... wah ntar deh coba aku kirim link nya hehe

ha...ha...haa...that point over there is very funny. Imagine dia jagi sikut2an sama pemain orchestra yg lain...Tapi bener deh actually aku gak pernah liat bahkan bule sekalipun yg biasanya left handed, utk violinist belum pernah liat..dan chin rest nya gimana ya, Wie? Aku belum pernah liat chin rest buat dagu sebelah kanan:) Interesting...:)
