Now this is what I called a product with value. I bought this tea because I was looking for something to balance my hormone. And than the waitress gave me a box of tea: Woman's Dong Quai Tonic. It is an organic tea. caffeine free. And it's written: Hormone Balance. So I bought it..because I thought, I need something to balance my hormone in order to be...uhmmm....balance. And I don't drink anything with caffeine..or at least I avoid it. I bought it at an organic store named Healthy Choice.. I like this store since everything there is all about organic and hollistic food, hollistic product that is meant for our well being, body and soul. The price of a box of this tea bags is Rp.65.000 and there are 16 tea bags in a box. Maybe you might be interested in trying it, to balance your hormone or just for the well being. This is a product from Yogi Tea healing Formula. This product also support the breast cancer research, and 10% of the profit goes to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation. There is also a yoga tip for woman on top of the box, which makes this tea a very unique package. Inside on the lid of the box there are also several tips for women to bring harmony for body, soul and women's monthly cycle.. and also there is a poem! You can visit www.yogitea.com to listen to many poems set to music. Interesting! And also, what is exciting is in each tea bag is that there is different written words of wisdom hangs on each the tea bags. How very interesting...and fulfilling! This tea is not just a tea.It is a very hollistic tea. The box was printed on recycle paper, and recyclable plus non irradiated. The tea bags are 100% oxygen bleached, whatever that means...but I am just satisfied just because there are many value that I get from a box of tea. Anyway, let's talk about this tea, this Woman's Dong Quai Tonic. Woman's Dong Quai Tonic said to be effective and organic way to lessen fatigue, restore your energy and balance your hormones. This healing tonic is formulated to ease what traditional Chinese medicine practitioners refer to as "blood deficiency" resulting from stress, poor digestion or improper eating and health habits. This includes the potent "Queen of Herbs", Dong Quai ( Angelica sinensis), shown to be effective in supporting reproductive organs, addressing common female hormone imbalances, helping to regulate the menstrual cycle and building all round health. Bartram's Encyclopedia of Herbal Medicine (1995) indicates Dong Quai is useful for a wide range of female conditions, including minor symptoms of PMS ( such as mild mood changes) and menopause (such as hot flashes). This powerful herb is complemented by Nettle to help detox your body as well as Dandelion Root and Juniper Berry to help maintain proper water balance.According to yogic wisdom, women have greater emotional awareness and intuitive powers. A woman can choose to be balanced, happy and healthy. Well, that's what they said on the box:) But although the statements in this product have not been evaluated by the Food and Drug Administration, and not intended to diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any disease, I always think that herbs that said that it's good for human's well being and as long as it suits with my blood type, I would consider it's good for my personal being:) | Category: | Movies | | Genre: | Animation |
The posters are cute. Especially the standing 3-D displays they have at the cinemas here, showing Remy the little chef-rat, surrounded by knives. Such a cute face on this blue rat.
What I saw yesterday however, was so much more than what I expected. Ratatouille is one of those 'complete' movies. The characters are cute, the story is great, animation is amazing, but what is important is the life philosophy that is actually taught throughout the movie (without being preachy).
In a way, the film has the standard 'oddball becomes hero' story, but this one surely touched my heart.
Remy is a country side rat who doesn't like the fact that his family steals food for a living. And they actually steal from the garbage, which he hated even more. Remy has a gift of a special nose that is very sensitive, but the only use for it in his colony is to tell which food is poisoned and which ones are safe. Meanwhile, the tasteful Remy likes the smell and taste of various spices etc.... to cook. And he also has spent time watching a cooking show on TV that is hosted by Chef Gusteau, a famous Parisian chef. The chef's tagline is "Anyone Can Cook"... and that includes a rat.
You should go see this film if you haven't, or wait for the DVD to come out.
This is a story about proving that you're able to beat the odds, convincing the non-believers that you can change the world. One of the things that Remy said in the film is that "Life is About Change".
PS: When you're feeling down, try saying "Ratatouile" with a smile and with a high childlike voice... It'll cheer you up ;) | Category: | Movies | | Genre: | Science Fiction & Fantasy |
I like magic... I like movies that have wizards, witches, and all those characters. When I watched Narnia, I really liked the White Witch who was waving around her sword and wand with such style. She moves them the way I move the bow of my violin... Very cool!
Although people had warned me that this latest Harry Potter film was 'darker' and scarier than the others, I went to see it anyway a couple of days ago (sorry Windu, it was a spontaneous thing.. not that we didn't wanna watch it with all you guys).
The film is so great. The story is solid, the special effects are flawless, and the actors are just marvelous, especially Radcliffe and his 2 best friends (and the few others). Of course they're not that cute anymore, but they're performance as a group was very good. And this is a film with so many top British actors such as Emma Thompson, Gary Oldman, Helena Bohnam Carter, Ralph Fiennes etc.
The young cast members should be very proud to be part of history like that, to be part of The Harry Potter franchise. From the super-best-seller novels, great film adaptation, and who knows what else. I also wanna be part of a film like that!
I liked the movie so much so I decided to buy the other Harry Potter films (actually I wasn't sure which ones I've seen, so I bought the 3 previous ones). At the store, there was a CINEMAGS magazine which included a BONUS of a MAGIC WAND! It was so cool!
Now I can wave around the wand at home and cast spells to my TV, computer, lights, and stuffed animals! :) | Category: | Movies | | Genre: | Sports |
"Jijaaay..."
That's the most appropriate Indonesian word for it to describe how funny it is, but also gross... Will Ferrell-type comedy. This one is not as hillarious as Anchor Man but still very funny...
Two men figure skating. Together. It's so gay that it's really funny. I have no problem with gay people, by the way, it's just hilarious to watch two heterosexual characters on-screen having to perform some embarassingly 'intimate' moves (that are required in couple's figure skating... dan memang harusnya pasangan cowo dan cewe).
Music and songs in this film also played a major part. The perfect skating form of the Jimmy MacElroy character was accompanied by Josh Groban's version of 'Con Te Partiro' (pls correct me if I'm wrong). This opening song for the film was so right, that it made Jimmy so wrong. The skating, the music, the costume, and choreography made him very feminine, but that's just Jimmy's nature.
It was also funny when Will Ferrell was on a treadmill and singing Black Eyed Peas' 'My Hump' and suggested that song for them to skate with. Jimmy said that the song is 'provocative' although he doesn't know what it really means. Will said that he doesn't understand it either but it sounds provocative enough.. ha ha ha... I never understood that song either but I thought Americans did. I guess I was wrong! ;)
Just go see it. The final scenes of the film are so.... breathtaking... A glorious performance by the odd couple...! Quality does come with high price. When the price of a goods is low that it's too good to be true, then it is probably too good to be true.
My manager went on a business trip to Singapore last week and brought me some chocolate ;)
From 2 varieties that I got, this Cote d'Or noir orange turned out to be really oh so good... Remember when we were little kids in Indonesia, and we just loved those little Van Houten chocolate 'plates' that you get at birthday parties?
Those Van Houtens would taste like wax when compared to this!
The one that I got actually come in 10gram wrappings, so they remain nice and neat in my fridge.. ;)
Now you know what chocolate I like... Dark chocolate!
So... know your chocolate, learn your chocolate, appreciate your chocolate... then let it melt in your mouth... It's not just a battle of vocal talents anymore. Jordin is a great singer, with great interpretation and has a great and likeable personality, she is loveable. She's a charming lady with great voice.
Meanwhile Blake is just sexy with the way he makes the songs his sings as his own. The new arrangements are always innovative, he is always a risk taker in making new styles with the music he sang, but in the other hand, he had fun with his music. He never choose to play it safe.He has his trademark, his own personality in every song he sings.
What do you think?

This film is very light, certainly not film festival material. Yet it is cute and entertaining for me.
Hugh Grant plays a middle aged ex-pop singer from the 80s named Alex Fletcher. Although he had gone through some glorious years as a pop star, he now does odd gigs, such as at a small stage in an amusement park, high school reunions of people who graduated in the 80s, etc.
At one point he got the opportunity to come back into mainstream music by writing a song for a very popular 'modern' singer Cora (a super sexy sultry singer who looks like a combination of Britney, Christina, Shakira, who is somehow very spiritual and peaceful). This character in the film is very entertaining. Ajaib banget, tapi koq orang nya nornal2 aja.
Alex Fletcher then by coincidence was getting help from Sophie Fisher (Drew Barrymore) who also has her own personal issues to deal with.
The songs in this film are really simple and catchy. The song (in the form of a music video) in the opening sequence really mocks and imitate the music videos of the 80s. Okay, perhaps it's more of an homage. The title of that song is "Pop! goes my heart" in which members of the band dance around popping their hips left and right.
Hugh Grant is such a "silly English man". I love him in this film. I also liked the discussion between Alex Fletcher the musician, and Sophie who becomes his lyricist, about... what else... Music and Lyrics. What comes first? Music or lyrics? Which is more important?
The relationship between Alex and his manager is very touching... The manager's syle isn't exactly like Jerry Maguire but he really cared about Alex.

Happily Never After
Picked up this film at Poins Square although 'Jerry Maguire' said that the reviews weren't good. But I got it anyway, and I didn't mind the reviews. Just wanted to watch cartoons.
What happened was that I was falling asleep through the movie. It was cute, but still couldn't stop me from dozing off.
This animation film has no soul. It has nice animation and graphics but no personality. And there's no music in it. Doesn't have to be a musical number where everyone sings and dance, but just simple music and songs.
Happily Never After is just simply forgettable So, we already had a late lunch at Sushi Nobu - Dharmawangsa Square. Wanted to see a movie in a theatre but nothing good is on tonight...
In today's terminology: Dead Style (mati gaya)
When there's nothing else to do, I'd go to Poins Square. Sure it's not the best shopping center around, but it's surprising that there are a lot of things you can get there.
Walked in the door, surprisingly there was some kind of Gramedia fair in the middle of the bridge of the 2nd floor atrium. There was some interesting books, but I didn't get any.
Went downstairs to look for matress or sofa bed for my apartment. It seems that now I need one so that my assistants can stay overnight when we have late night shows or when we have to leave the 'office' very early in the morning. So, I found this one sofa bed that was 'functional'. It looks quite like a normal one, but it looks like it will fit just fine at my place. So, Poins Square gave me a good lead to buying a good sofa bed, for less that Rp 2juta.
Then 'Jerry Maguire' wanted to change his Esia phone's casing, but specifically went to the HP stall that is right next to his favorite DVD seller. Of course while waiting I went through the DVDs and actually got 2 cartoons!
So, Poins Square also makes me happy with my cartoons. I love cartoons!
Went upstairs to Electronic Solution to find VGA cable to connect my laptop to my Philips widescreen flat LCD, but they had none. Then went to the lower floor to my regular computer store and got the cable there. Perfect!
Then went to the corner store and got some anti-virus!
What a productive Saturday night... Then went home happy, and watched cartoon..
So, Poins Square... Probably not the best mall around, but it's quite convenient at certain times... I usually store a bottle of wine in my fridge. On days when i want to relax and unwind, i drink it. It makes me relax.) But surely i won't drink it before i am done with my violin practice. But another thing that i always like is chocolate. Especially, chocolate flavor and alcohol mixed together is always the best. It is not only giving me chocolaty goodness, but all with the warm feelings in one package. One day i am looking for Bailey's at the market because i am craving for the taste of chocolate and alcohol all together. Bailey's sold out that day, but then i found Dooley's Vodka Toffee, and i bought it. When i got home, i smelled it right after i pour it into my glass, and i said "..oh my God..", it smelled so good, so good as it tasted. Dooley's original toffee and vodka is a sensual blend of toffee cream liqueur and allure ultra premium vodka. It has a unique taste of finest toffee caramel. You can also taste the milky flavor in it. Just try it,you will love it:) You can find it in a market like Hero, etc.. i actually bought it at the supermarket in Citos:) If their tag line is that Dooley's not for the sweet and innocent, I guess i am not that sweet and innocent to drink vodka:)

We first came to this place for the last Buka Puasa of 2005. Had always been curious of this restaurant as it always look busy.
The interior is quite nice, very clean (masih baru kali), and the waitstaff was friendly, but not too much. They served free "tajil" then, which I guess was a little bonus, although we definitely didn't wanna judge the place just by that.
The Tomato Cream soup (not listed on menu as "cream" soup) was tasty. The imported Short Ribs were delicious, and all the side dishes was excellent (mashed potatoes, side veggies, etc.) for less than 60 ribu.
However, Yasha was unfortunate to find a FLY in his free cup of Bubur Kacang Ijo...
Earlier for lunch, we went for our 2nd visit. The place was empty, a table of 4 were just leaving as we sat down. We didn't quite like the "Live Music" setup there, consisting of just one keyboard and a couple of mics. We thought the owner was smart enough not to do such a thing, but I guess we were wrong.
For our "quick" lunch, I ordered the Norwegian Salmon Steak with mushroom sauce, which was one of the highest priced dish at the place. Yasha ordered the Grilled/BBQ Chicken Maryland.
The food took a while to arrive. When it came, the thick fillet was sizzling hot, thanks to the WHITE HOT stone plate underneath it. They must have heat the stone up all the way to "Core Meltdown" on the oven setting. Hot oil sprinkles were flying out as far as 40 centimeters away from the plate.
However, all I tasted was Hot Fish and nothing more. It was as bland as Titiek Puspa's "So Good" fish sticks (ngga pernah nyobain juga sich padahal).
Yasha wasn't complaining much about his Chicken Maryland, although it looked like 40% of the chicken breast was all SKIN and FAT. He said it tasted alright, though... The Fries that come with both dishes are crunchy and tasty... Good stuff
We might go back to dine here, but not anytime soon, and definitely not gonna order the "salmon"
And seriously, the owners need to be consistent with their quality, or else...
